1. You compare your beginning stages with someone in his middle. It is always a given truth that comparing yourself with others is a motivation killer, and absolutely one of the worst things to do do not listen to him as he tells you how he took much money from his 401k; and how he was able to get out of his student loans so quickly; and how his family is getting ready for a vacation.
Don’t get envious just yet because you might be comparing apples with oranges. Think about your start. Plan properly. Look straight ahead. Do whatever is possible within your means.
2. You are afraid to put in some work. Many people can do something great about their lives once they try; and that includes you. If talking about how bad you are with money is as regular as eating your breakfast, you will never really try at all. Don’t throw your towel just yet. Think about this: money is simple. Take the time to know the basics. Do some work. Before making excuse, try to do something first. Then you would know if your excuses are actually necessary at all.
3. You don’t have the idea where and how to start. This is perhaps the most meritorious excuse you can ever make. Nonetheless, it is not something that cannot be solved. Probably your mind has been clouded with many things that simply do not stick. If this is happening to you, you’re not bad with money but with focus.
You cannot do everything at the same time and expect them all to turn out good for you. Do one thing at a time. Maybe you can begin with setting up your emergency fund. Then you can move with a workable payment plan for your existing loans. Concentrate on just one goal before trying to attempt on the next.
No one is really bad about money. Your problem can be fixed. Do not compare yourself with others. Do something now. Focus on one goal at a time.
